Born in Bangladesh. Watching his father manage several restaurants
successfully across the UK, the 29-year-old was inspired to develop
his first- hand experience and launch his own establishment. Married
to Shejina Begum with son Zakiyah and young daughter.
Career : Opened Green Bengal in Bromley Cross, near
Bolton in 2006 supported by Chef Jamal Ahmed in the kitchen. Hailing
from Sylhet in Bangladesh, Ahmed has been a chef for 35 years and has
worked at some of Bangladesh's leading restaurants, including the
renowned Sunergaw in Dhaka and Purbaney in Dhaka.
The glittering opening of the restaurant was enjoyed by over 200
people including football's Sam Allerdyce and two female tigers (see right). |
