Career : Vichai Kharmakharm, ventured out to expand the family Bangkok-based business into England and in 1986 opened his first “Thai Orchid Restaurant”, in Banbury. Six talented brothers and sisters gradually joined Vichai to help expand the business and gain an enviable reputation by capturing the culinary hearts of local people right across the Midlands and beyond. Since then they have become the fastest growing group of Authentic Thai Restaurants in Britain, with many successful venues from Birmingham to London, as well as operating a Thai Hotel - The Globe in Warwick. In order to maintain the very highest quality standards, they have developed a flourishing import business that has become the UK's largest importer of Thai produce, ingredients, furnishings and drinks, including the UK distribution rights for Chang Beer Restaurants include Thai Boathouse in Stratford upon Avon, 3 Thai Elephants, Thai Emerald in Cheltenham and 6 Thai Orchids.
