Owner, Entrepreneur Veronica Sarkhel

Veronica was born in India to Chinese parents, and her father was originally from the nomadic Hakka community. She met Udit Sarkhel in 1984 at Bombay Taj when she was a waitress. Two children Neil and Jade. Career : Owner of Dalchini in Wimbledon Park - originally set up with then husband top Indian chef Udit whilst jointly running Sarkhel's in Replingham Road. One of the only restaurants serving Hakka cuisine.. Veronica tells her customers that her food is delivered to them "with much love and dedication to gastronomy from the huge Chinese community that once lived in India. Just as Indian food is the most popular cuisine in Britain, India's favourite is Chinese cuisine but prepared Indian style". Very active locally and full of energy. Owns several properties.
