Born in Mumbai to a family of Master Chefs. His father James was a
Master Chef in India and his older brother, Ignatius, is General
Manager of the Ramada in New Jersey.
Career : Became the
youngest Executive Chef in the world at 21 at The Continental Palace
in South Africa. Came to London in 1999
Executive/Corporate Chef of Cafe Naz Group and
Head Chef at Cafe Naz Cardiff before moving as owner/chef to Moksh Cardiff
Bay with Abdul Kashim in 2007. Before this consulted at the Indigo
Restaurant at the Ramada in New Jersey.
Opened second restaurant in Mertyr Tydfil in 2007 with
a further two overseas, which is an example of how well the
restaurant and its innovative, lauded cuisine has been received.
Stephen has traveled throughout the world, studying and serving in
South Africa, Thailand, Bangladesh and India, his birthplace. He has
brought this experience to Cardiff providing a vast array of
succulent authentic Asian dishes from the finest traditions of
Eastern Cuisine.

Master Chef Roll of Honour 2003. Won Chef of the Year 2006/7 and his
new restaurant is already very popular. Cardiff City Council Food
Hygiene Award 2007. won the 2009 title of Cobra Curry Guide Indian
Chef of the Year - an accolade he also won both in 2007 and 2008.
