Chef Shaan Khan

Career : Head Chef at Harrogate restaurant, Rajpoot (opened 1992) owned by mother Perveen and run with brothers Omar and Reza. Out of 5000 entrants and at the young age of 21 Shaan Khan won through to the final of the UK International Chef of the Year 2001 Competition Winner of Harrogate's Plush Awards 2006 and 2007, 'The Best International Restaurant', voted for by the people of Harrogate Former regular guest chef on BBC Asian Network's 'Amanda Hussain Show', in Birmingham Shaan has made 11 individual cookery programmes which are now available to view on the internet site, YouTube, under the heading Shaan Khan, New Indian Cuisine. May 2010 Shaan and his brother Raza were sent to prison for three years for their part in a four year human trafficking scam at the Rajput. Mother Parveen was sentenced later.
