Education : Studied hotel and restaurant management at the
Michigan State University in America and ran restaurants for the
Hilton in Dallas and for the W. R. Grace chain in Washington D.C.
Career : Managing Director of Old World Hospitality Private
Ltd, New Delhi. Opened Chor Bizarre in Delhi in 1990 as a highly
unusual venue with mismatching items nad antiques that can be
purchased. He opened his first UK venture in 1997 with Chor
Bizarre(Thieves Market) in Albemarle Street W1. In 2006 opened
Tamurai and used another part of the building to launch Sitaaray, a
reflection of his passion for Indian cinema (sitaaray meaning stars
in Hindi). O.W.H. also designed and operated Habitat World in New
Delhi in 1993 and one of the most popular restaurants in it is
Oriental Octopus. Also own Hotel Broadway and Broadway Bar. Seen as a
man of dynamic ideas.
