Ravi Bajaj lives in Poynton, Cheshire with his wife and two children.
Career : Director/Chef of top restaurant Dilli in
Greater Manachester where he teamed up with top international chef
and restaurateur Kuldeep Singh of the Mela Group.
Ravi Bajaj grew up within a family of engineers and architects in the
Indian sub continent?s food capital of New Delhi. But he broke with
family tradition to train as a chef at catering college in Bombay.
When he graduated he became a trainee chef, and later sous chef, with
the prestigious Taj Group famed as one of the world's finest hotel
chains. Ravi worked with master chef Satish Arora, one of the
pioneers of the Indian hospitality industry, and the group's Head
Chef Udit Sarkhel - now an award winning London-based chef,
restaurateur and author.
He studied with the Culinary Institute of America before moving to
the UK in 1995 where he earned a reputation for creativity and an
innovative style that led to the development of award-winning
products for the food services and retail sector.
The discriminating tastes for which he has catered include Prince
Charles, the Princess Anne, the Sultan of Oman, the High Commissioner
of India, the Hon. Michael Heseltine, Margaret Beckett MP, and top
industrialists. |
