Born 1964 in Kenya. Married to wife Simmi 1994 but divorced 2007. Mother died aged 72 in 2007.

Career : In charge of award-winning Cafe India which opened in 1987 in Charing Cross in Glasgow and known for his popularity with celebrities. Good friend of Marti Pelow of Wet Wet Wet and chosen to provide food for Michael Jackson when he visited UK in 2004.

The restaurant experienced a fire in late 2006 and relocated to Merchant City. Multi award winner.

The only restaurateur we know of to hold an Equity card. Had a part in Nina's Heavenly Delights, a big-budget film - starring Living Daylights and True Lies star Art Malik - about an Indian family in Glasgow.

Left Cafe India after 25 years to open his own restaurant 2012. Wife Kamaljeet gave to daughter Ruby December 2011.
