Career : Manages India Quay in Glasgow which was opened
at its prime site by business partners Belhar Sanghera (Pardeep's
father) and Hardev Purewall (his uncle) towards the end of 2005.
Pardeep, who also works with his brother, sister and cousins said:
"We are a family-run business and everyone has got a passion for
Indian cuisine."
The restaurant was part of the team to represent Glasgow in Curry
Capital of Britain 2007. Robbie Coltrane arrived at India Quay, and
learned how to cook a curry India Quay style, before holding his own
in the kitchen and catering for a full house of customers. He was
treated as another member of staff whilst helping raise hundreds of
pounds go towards the Oxfam River Basin Charity. Pardeep Sanghera
commented: Since Robbies appearance, the number of new
clientele has doubled, with customers calling from all over the UK to
make their reservation." |
