Career : Omar Khan opened his restaurant originally as Shah Jehan in 1984 and was owner/Head Chef. The name was later changed to Omar Khan's due to name confusion. Awards : Omar Khan has achieved the Hot Stuff Chef Of the Year 1994/95 in Britain, which was awarded By TAARO and Housing & Environmental Protection. Omar Khan was also the Chef of The Year in India and Pakistan. Omar Khan was presented with the award by The Lord Mayor of Bradford on the 26th November 1995. BEST IN BRITAIN 1997 was just presented to the restaurant after Omar Khan became the chef of the year in Britain, India and Pakistan. It was presented by the REAL CURRY RESTAURANT GUIDE in conjunction with takeaway Gourmet. Best in Britain Award in 1997, 98 and 99. 2009 took up the post of Asian Ambassador for Bradford City FC |
