Born in 1953 in Shorisha Para, Chattak, Bangladesh and came to UK in 1982. Married to Sophia and has five children and a granddaughter.

Career : Opened his first restaurant in 1985 which later closed. Opened Bengal Dynasty in Llandudno in 1988 followed by Shotton, Deeside in 1991 which has won numerous awards. Appointed Justice of the Peace in 2002. Chair of Greater Sylhet Welfare & Development Council UK.

Member of the North Wales Racial Equality and Chester Asian Council.

Opened a third branch in Wincham, Northwich and has a sister restaurant (Curry Palace Balti House) in Hollywood, California.
