Career : The Rajdoot in Birmingham is part of a small group of up-market restaurants independently managed and operated. Originally opened in 1972 and operating from Albert Street, the very successful restaurant run by Manjit Gill is now in George Street, Hockley. Rajdoot has been one of the top Indian restaurants in Birmingham and the country for many years and Manjit Gill a very prominent figure in the community. Very active in charitable causes. Represented Birmingham to win Curry Capital of Britain title in 2005.. The Rajdoot group claim to be the first to introduce the tandoor to UK in 1966.
