Owners, Chef Manzoor & Mushtaq Ahmed

Born in Lahore, Pakistan on 21st May 1048. Achieved Senior Cambridge in Nairobi, Kenya. Career : 1967-1973 chef at Tandoori Restaurant in Fulham Road. 1973-1975 chef at Kohi Noori in Jersey. 1975-1980 chef at Shezan in Knightsbridge. 1980 Chef/Co-Owner of Tabaq Restaurant in Clapham with brother Mushtaq. Twice victorious (1998 and 1999) in the National curry Chef of the Year competition organised by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Winner of BIBA Chicken Tikka Masala of the Year and numerous other awards. March 2008 due to staffing problems and general weariness of the industry at present Mushtaq Ahmed decided to take retirement and close Tabaq. Manzoor carry on the other restaurant for a few months then also take retirement. Thoughts of a new career in the sun are possible!
