Career : Runs the famous Yang Sing restaurant in
Manchester with brother Gerry (OBE), opened by his father, Tim Kwan
Yeung in 1977. It may not be in its original plot after a fire gutted
the premises back in 1997 but has lost none of its original quality
and charm.
In 1999 we were delighted to return home to 34 Princess Street, newly
designed, improved conference and banqueting facilities and a totally
refurbished restaurant.
Award winning Chef, Harry Yeung, began his culinary apprenticeship in
the kitchens of Hong Kong, aged 13, under the watchful eye of his
father. After gaining experience in London and other UK restaurants,
Harry returned to the family business to become Head Chef at the Yang Sing.
1998 Cathay Dim Sum and Orient Xpression opened at the
Trafford Centre. 2005 - Yang Sing opened Lotus Bar & Dim Sum in
King Street buzzy, chic and people watching!
The property of the late great George Best is now the home of Harry
Yeung, co-owner of the world famous Yang Sing restaurant in
Manchester city centre.
