Descended from Chinese parents, but born in England, George Leung has
been cooking since he was 11 years old, and has a natural love for
both Chinese food and the ancient culture of China.
Career : Trained as a chef in one of his parents'' 5
restaurants, he opened his own in 1982, quickly followed by a second
and third. During this time George was developing recipes for a major
supermarket and in 1991 was probably the biggest supplier of Seaweed.
In 1992 he created a delicious marinade for Crispy Duck that is still
used by the biggest supermarkets today. With his experience in mass
production, George opened Wok2go, the first in a chain of
Oriental takeaways, but a chain with a unique difference. Wok2go is a
market-driven brand with an idea, an idea that is changing the
concept of Oriental takeaways as we know it, and a golden opportunity
for anyone to join the franchise of the future.
