Owner Foysol Choudhury MBE

Foysol Hussein Choudhury was born in Bangladesh. Oldest son of Gulam and Rukeya Rabbani Choudhury Career : Owner of The Verandah restaurant in Edinburgh with Dr Wali Tasar Uddin. Awarded MBE in New Year's Honours in 2004. His award is for services to community relations. Choudhury is also Co-Director for Edinburgh Mela, the organisation was founded in 1995 by members of Edinburgh’s Pakistani, Indian and Bangladeshi communities. Mr Choudhury was elected General Secretary for Bangladesh Samity Edinburgh and has been reposible for several charity appeals. He was awarded a Community Award by Channel S in 2006 Hobbies/sport : Has been Bangladeshi Snooker and Badminton Champion in Edinburgh and fan of Midlothian and Manchester United. One son and one daughter.
