Domenico Crolla

Born 1967. Domenico Crolla is a Scots-Italian born in Glasgow. Wife Genny and two children, Cristina and Alfredo.

Career : As the older of two brothers. Domenico worked in his parents restaurants Dinos and Pizza Crolla from the age of 10 and became a renowned restaurant owner in his own right when he opened “Dominoes”, later renamed Dom’s Place. Owns Glasgow’s Italmania and Bella Napoli restaurants. Represented UK in Las Vegas at the “International Pizza Expo” in March 2007.

Creative chef Domenico first hit headlines worldwide in November 2006, when he cooked up an idea for a gold and caviar-topped “Pizza Royale 007”. The pizza sold on eBay to an Italian lawyer raising £2,150 for UK charity the Fred Hollows Foundation.

Awards : Silver at the Italian Chef Wars ; Winner of the UK Pizza & Pasta Association Pizza Designer of the Year. Domenico also had the honour of being the only British judge in Italian Pizza Olympics.
