Andy Varma

 

Career : Andy Varma, has worked in Canada, USA, and Egypt with corporate chains such as the Sheraton group and the Four Seasons group, along with the prestigious Oberoi Group.
In India, Andy starred as a television chef for Rupert Murdoch's Asian TV station Star TV, and also co-owned a chain of restaurants called The Village Shop, Duke's Place, and ABC. Andy subsequently launched Sticky Fingers, the first pizza delivery restaurant with a central kitchen in Delhi, India, which had three outlets, and quickly became a household name.

Chef/Owner of Vama The Indian Room in Chelsea with brother Arjun since 1998. Previously celebrity TV chef in India. Lives in South London with family. Known as chef to celebrities including Sir Richard Branson. In 2003 opened successful takeaway company Vamaji with brother and advises KLM on in-flight meals

Has created Khana by Vama for in flight cuisine.

Was voted as one of the top ten chef's of Europe and his restaurants has figured in the top 3 in the Zagat Guide for over 5 years

Has won numerous awards including Best in London at the Carlton TV Awards. In 2008 his restaurant group joined The Gourmet Restaurant Group which includes Tiffinbite and Bombay Bicycle Club. He is Executive Director Food & Business Development.

January 16 2009 Fourmet Group went into administration and were bought by V8 Gourmet Ltd and Andy and brother Arjun move to their management team.
