Career : Opened Riva in Barnes SW13 in 1990. Andrea Riva's work and play is his restaurant. He is a consummate restaurateur. Passion, affection and dedication are divided more or less equally between the food of northern Italy and particularly his native Lake Como and Lombardy

Chef, Francesco Zanchetta had been there since the restaurant opened until late 2007 and it is a place where those who really appreciate good food congregate. Zanchetta, who has cooked at the Cipriani in Venice, comes from Friuli Venezia Giulia in the north-east of Italy and his menu reflects their traditions.
